Radical.FM Now Accepts Bitcoin Donations

Radical.FM (www.Radical.FM), the ad-free music service that marries the interactive nature of the Internet with the programming expertise of the entire broadcast radio industry, today announced that it has begun accepting Bitcoin donations through leading Bitcoin payments service provider BitPay.

Donations will be used to power Radical.FM's unique, ad-free music service, which allows music fans unparalleled access to a 25-million-song library free and commercial-free.

"Bitcoin is redefining currency for the Digital Age just as Radical.FM is redefining radio," said CEO Tom McAlevey. "So for Radical to pioneer Bitcoin acceptance in the streaming industry was a no-brainer, and BitPay is an experienced partner, secure, and well suited for making online donations."

Radical believes everyone is entitled to enjoy great music. In addition to providing the most progressive music service in the world, Radical.FM compensates artists, composers, and labels for every song streamed. In order to keep the service free and ad-free, Radical.FM accepts donations from its supportive community of users on a "Pay What You Can" basis.

"Our service is user-supported. We exist because fans donate to Radical to support our mission to provide quality music to everyone, without commercial interruptions," said McAlevey. "Bitcoin is the future. For some it is already the preferred way to make donations, which is why we're excited to embrace the Bitcoin community and provide more opportunities for fans to support Radical.FM."

About Radical.FM

Radical.FM is a privately held American corporation. Tracing its roots back to Tomsradio.com (a Swedish streaming music service that helped inspire Spotify), as well as Bandit Radio (Sweden's biggest rock radio station, one of the first broadcast radio stations to simulcast over the internet in 1994), Radical continues a two-decade tradition of pushing the boundaries of online radio. Radical's broadcast radio roots helped inspire its uniquely effective interface. Unlike typical tech and algorithm-heavy online radio services, Radical.FM is programmed by hand, by human beings. With a powerful yet intuitive design, no other service allows such a high degree of control over an endless stream of music.

Radical.FM is Radio Re-Defined.
