BTCChina Rebrands as BTCC with Focus on Global Audience

BTCChina, the world’s longest-running bitcoin exchange, is today rebranding itself as simply BTCC.

“We are immensely proud of what we have achieved so far,” says Bobby Lee, CEO of BTCC. “Over the past four years, we have grown far beyond just being an exchange. We now offer a comprehensive set of products and services in cryptocurrencies, including wallets, merchant payments, and also a mining pool.”

Bobby adds, “Bitcoin is global, and as we launch more products and services to serve the global audience, we needed a more global name. BTCC is that name. Wherever you are, BTCC is your bitcoin company.”

Aside from echoing the original company name, the new moniker, BTCC, also captures the core essence of the company vision: blockchain technologies & cryptocurrencies. It is an indication of the firm’s commitment to cryptographic technologies and their potential to disrupt a number of incumbent industries.

Today, BTCC is also revealing a newly redesigned logo and website to better serve its global audience.

“We're excited to introduce a new logo and identity that modernizes and reinvigorates the BTCC experience,” explains Samson Mow, BTCC’s Chief Operating Officer.

“The new BTCC logo retains some original elements as a nod to our heritage, but also conveys a bold simplicity that translates well across any screen size. We now have a unified design language that we will be rolling out across all of our web products, as well as our our forthcoming refreshed mobile products, which are being redesigned and developed from the ground up.”

Major Chinese exchange BTCChina has announced the suspension of bitcoin and litecoin withdrawals.
